The 11th-ranked Lady Cardinals made short work of Victoria College in Region XIV Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Cardinal Gym, winning 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-17).
The win improved the Lady Cardinals to 17-4 on the season and 6-2 after the first half of conference play.
Next up for the Lady Cardinals is a Friday trip to Brenham to take on No. 9 Blinn. Action begins at 6 p.m.
The next home match for the Lady Cardinals is Wednesday, Oct. 4 against No. 4 Navarro. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
Among the leaders for the Lady Cardinals in Saturday's win were Emma Bednarek (11 kills, 15.5 points), Jade Rodriguez (nine kills, 11 points), Mafer Cisneros Salas (eight digs) and Sofia Velez (13 digs). Velez surpassed 1,000 career digs with her double-digit performance.
