Thank you, Utah!

The seventh-ranked Lady Cardinal volleyball team was perfect in the UFirst Intermountain Invite over the week in Salt Lake, Utah, going 4-0.

Coach Aleah Hayes' squad knocked off two Top 20 teams on the trip, taking care of No. 5 and event host Salt Lake in 3-2 fashion (25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-8) and No. 16 Snow with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-18, 29-27). The Lady Cardinals also had wins against Southern Idaho, 3-1 (25-22, 24-26, 25 -13, 25-19) and Central Wyoming, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-17).

The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to put their 4-0 mark on the line Tuesday in their home opener vs. Hill College. Game time at Cardinal Gym is 6 p.m.

It's then back on the road for the Lady Cardinals. They will leave for Fort Myers, Florida, to participate in the Battle of the Beaches Tournament, where four matches are on tap Friday and Saturday.
