A 5-11 middle hitter out of Cartagena, Columbia is the third and final mid-semester addition to the Lady Cardinal volleyball program announced by head coach Aleah Hayes.

Genesis Rodriguez Arroyo joins the Lady Cardinals after establishing herself as one of the best middle hitters for her age group in South America. In addition to athletic awards, she also received academic honors.

"I chose TVCC because some of my friends told me that is a very good college both academically and athletically," Arroyo said. "Also, the team atmosphere is very pleasant, and it feels like being with family.

 "I am excited to be here to continue with my sports career playing at a very good level. I will also be able to continue my studies and spend time with new people and learn a new language."

"I am very happy to add Genesis to our roster this spring," Hayes said. "She brings high level experience and versatility to the team and her time with the national team will continue to elevate our program.

"Genesis is a well-rounded player and will succeed at TVCC!"
