Lady Cardinal volleyball coach Aleah Hayes has announced the signing of Taylor Nevill.

Nevill, a 6-0 middle blocker out of Iola High School, is the daughter of former Cardinal basketball player Scott Nevill (1984-86).

"We are very excited to add Taylor to our roster, as she brings athleticism and height to our team at the middle position," Hayes said. "She is quick and able to attack and block with force.

"I believe she will succeed during her time at TVCC."

Nevill was quite successful at Iola, where she helped her team claim a state championship in 2016 and state runner-up finish in 2017.

She was also named to multiple all-state, all-district all-Brazos Valley teams, earning her district's Blocker of the Year honor as a senior. Nevill has also been named to multiple all-academic teams.

As a senior, she posted a .314 hitting percentage and had 296 kills, 226 digs, 67 aces and 65 total blocks.

"I chose TVCC because I loved the team and coaches" Nevill said. "It felt like the right environment in which to play college sports.

"I'm excited to continue playing the sport I love for an established program."

Nevill's twin sister Tatum will also be playing for the Lady Cardinals.
