The No. 2-ranked Lady Cardinals are scheduled to host No. 5-ranked Blinn College at 2 p.m. In addition to protecting a lofty NJCAA ranking, the game will also send the winner to the outright lead in Region XIV Conference.
The Lady Cardinals, riding an eight-game winning streak, are 19-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference. Blinn, which has won nine straight, is 18-1 and 6-0.
The Lady Cardinals are coming off a 64-63 win against defending NJCAA champion Tyler, having finished the game on an 8-0 run in the final 1:04. Destinee McDowell hit the game-winner with 1.4 seconds remaining.
The Lady Cardinals are averaging 78.2 points were game. Blinn is scoring at a 78.7 clip.
A year ago, Blinn went 2-1 against the Lady Cardinals, including an 85-74 win in the Region XIV Tournament title game.
The two teams are scheduled to meet in a rematch of Saturday's game in Brenham on Wednesday, March 1.

The Cardinals are also scheduled to be at home Saturday, taking on Paris Junior College at 4 p.m.
The Cardinals, who are 5-2 since the holiday break, are 5-16 on the season and 5-6 in conference. Paris is 8-13 and 4-6.
In their last outing, the Cardinals outlasted Bossier Parish on the road for a 63-60 win.
