The 16th-ranked Cardinals overcame a slow start and ran away and hid from the Angelina College Roadrunners in an 89-59 win Saturday afternoon at Cardinal Gym.
With the win, the Cardinals raised their season record to 16-2. They are 5-1 in Region XIV Conference. Angelina tumbled to 8-10 and 2-5.
Tyson Jolly had another huge game for the Cardinals, finishing with 33 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. He hit two three-pointers.
David Nickelberry had 15 points for the Cardinals, also grabbing nine rebounds.
Marquan Williams finished with nine points. Bruce "BJ" Simmons had eight.
The Cardinals led 46-38 at the half.
The Cardinals are scheduled to travel Wednesday to Kilgore (12-5, 3-3) for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
