In addition to winning the Advanced Small Coed Junior College Division title at the NCA Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla., Cardinal Cheer brought home Small Coed Grand Champion title.

The title is awarded to the college posting the top event score in all divisions for the Small Coed competition. With a deduction-free performance, Cardinal Cheer recorded a 96.6296. Second-place Sam Houston State University had a 94. 5185. Cardinal Cheer also grabbed the Grand Champion title in 2016.

Other division winners finishing below Cardinal Cheer were Hawaii Pacific University, North Carolina State University, Montclair State University and Missouri Baptist University.

Cardinal Cheer, which now has 14 national titles, has won titles in Cardinal Cheer has now won titles in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1996, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

In addition to winning the Small Coed division, Cardinal Cheer finished second in the Advanced Large Coed Junior College Division.
