HOME ROMP: No. 3 Lady Cards roll, 124-41

The No. 3 Lady Cards made short work of Jarvis Christian JV in non-conference basketball action Monday night at Cardinal Gym. Using a 41-point first quarter, they went on to win in a 124-41 rout.

The win kept Coach Gerald Ewing's squad unbeaten on the year at 5-0.

The Lady Cards are scheduled to return to action Thursday in the Midland College WNIT, facing No. 23-ranked Odessa (7-2) at 5 p.m. Thursday. They will face either Florida Southwestern or Hill on Friday. Florida Southwestern is ranked No. 9.

Kaye Clark led the Lady Cards with 27 points, 16 coming in the second half.

Ta'Niya Jackson tossed in 24 and Tiya Douglas had 22, including six three-pointers.

Asia Strong and Curtessia Dean also scored in double figures with 18 and 15, respectively.

The next home game for the Lady Cards is Friday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. in the opening game of the annual Budke/Serna Thanksgiving Classic.
