3 BALL: Cardinals hit 18 three-pointers in 121-71 rout

It was raining three-pointers Wednesday night at Cardinal Gym.

The 15th-ranked Cardinals hit their first nine shots – all three-pointers – in a 121-71 non-conference blowout of Lone Star-Tomball.

No one was hotter than freshman Terry "TJ" Collins. Collins hit his first seven three-point attempts en route to eight in the game and a 26-point performance.

In keeping their record perfect at 6-0, the Cardinals had 18 three-pointers. Joining Collins in target practice beyond the arc were Bruce "BJ" Simmons with four, Marquan Williams two, T.J. Boyd two, David Nickelberry one and Tyson Jolly one.

Simmons finished with 24 points, followed by Vladmir Purtskhvanidze with 13, Williams and Jolly 12 each and Majok Madol 10.

The Cardinals led 69-30 at the half.

The Cardinals will be at home Friday and Saturday for the annual TVCC Classic. Here is the game schedule:
