The Trinity Valley Community College Esports program has a new coaching assistant.

Tensly (TJ) Jacobs has joined coach James Jones staff as a new employee on the Athens campus.

Jacobs said coming to Trinity Valley Community College feels like home.

"I have been here for a while and everyone from the instructors to all of the staff have helped me improve and become a better student and a better person," he said.

When he is not in the Esports lab, the former football player can be seen watching football, since he loves every aspect of the game.

He said people will notice he is not a quitter and wants the best out of everyone he meets on a daily basis.

"I was passionate about passing as a student whenever I attended TVCC as a student athlete," Jacobs said. "I am still passionate till this day about my job and the sport I played even more so now because I can help student athletes reach the next level."

Jacobs said his ultimate goal is to fly a private airplane.
